Ego Travels was a performance, and an installation, and a party too. But first of all, Ego Travels was a (fake) travel agency for students. It invited its customers to book a trip to their own future!

Three years later, in 2005, Sacha Kagan joined the University of Lüneburg, where a University-wide program is being put in place (ans is being officially recognised as part of the UNESCO Wolrd Decade 2005-2014 " Education for Sustainable Development") : Link to the Sustainable University website (DE) ... ... In this context, Sacha Kagan teaches a seminar on "Art and (Un-)Sustainability" at the Faculty of Culture Sciences of Universität Lüneburg, each Summer Semester (starting in 2006). Besides, he starts in 2006 a PhD project around the same theme.
Trois ans plus tard en 2005, alors que je rejoins l'Université de Lüneburg, un projet inter-facultaire d'Université Soutenable se met en place (avec le label UNESCO décade 2005-2014 de l'Education pour le Développement Durable) ... Voir leur site web (All)... ... Dans ce contexte, j'organise à partir de 2006 un séminaire intitulé "Art et (In-)Soutenabilité" (les semestres d'été à la Faculté des Sciences de la Culture). Egalement à partir de 2006, un projet de doctorat sur le même thème.
Ego Travels was created in 2002 by a team of students around Hans Dieleman, in the context of a seminar on Art & Sustainability (Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam). It was opened in May of the same year to students, with a big Ego Travels party in which unsuspecting students were confronted to the experiment...
Ego Travels a été monté en 2002 par un groupe d'étudiants autour de Hans Dieleman, responsable du séminaire Art & Développement Durable (Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam). Ouvert en Mai de la même année en grand spectacle avec une fête Ego Travels, l'expérience a pris les étudiants ('clients' de notre agence) par surprise...
