Gilles, eldest of the 3 brothers, has 2 daughters and lives in Orleans, France. His profession: Photographer (former President of Lumen) and head of the service of image digitization at the CNRS-IRHT (French Public Agency) with the mission to bring medieval illuminatings to a new digital life. Gilles Kagan received in 2005 one of the most prestigious awards of the French public research organization: the "Cristal du CNRS".
